ANDRADA MARIA PAŞCU

Andrada graduated  from the music faculty of Oradea University in both piano and classical singing.

At the Royal Academy of Music London, Andrada obtained a Masters Degree in Performance, studying with Andrew West and Diana Ketler.

In 2012, together with Florin Pascu, she founded AB MUSIC Academy, a private music school in West London.

Andrada has performed in Romania, Hungary, Germany, France and the UK -  most recently at  St. Martin-in-the-Fields, St. James’ Piccadilly in London and with the Surrey Philharmonic Orchestra.

As a singer, together with Florin and the Romanian National Radio Orchestra, Andrada has released five acclaimed albums.

 


FLORIN CONSTANTIN PAŞCU

Florin Constantin Pascu was born and raised in Oradea, a small town in the North West of Romania, where he started his musical education at the Art High School.

He graduated both singing and drums from the same High School, meanwhile studying drums at the Popular Art School. After graduating with the Honours the 3 years course, he decided to continue studying abroad and he was accepted at Drumtech, London.

His last drum concert highlights include Strawberry Festival and Wembley Arena, in front of a 12000 audience.

As a singer, together with Andrada and the Romanian National Radio Orchestra, Florin has released five acclaimed albums.


KOSMAS MYLON

Kosmas Mylon first picked up the guitar when he was 12 and got inspired playing the blues when he listened to The Allman Brothers band.

He is best known as the guitarist of the Wang Dang Doodle band, which has been awarded The London band of the year by Hard Rock Café in 2018.

He recently introduced his own guitar method, ‘The fingerstyle blues and country guitar method’ which he teaches to advanced players that want to learn how to play old style fingerstyle blues and country guitar in a competitive level. 

His debut album called ‘’Kosmas Mylon’s guitar album’’ was released in 2019.


ANCA ESKANDAR

Anca Eskandar owns a Master’s degree and Bachelor’s degree in Musical performance with major in Flute and Chamber Music from the West University of Timisoara, Romania, along with relevant teaching qualifications. Among other subjects she has also specialised in Music Theory and Piano.

Her personal performance portfolio includes solo recitals in various independent locations and Festivals in Europe, China and the UAE.

Her extensive teaching experience includes schools in Romania, UAE (Dubai) and the UK.

"Music is not what I do, is who I am". That is what Mrs. Anca (as we call her at the Academy) has always tried to teach her students.

Mrs. Anca Eskandar is our designated theory teacher for ABRSM examinations as she is very firm and makes sure no-one leaves the classroom without full understanding of what was taught.


OLIVER POPA

MODERN SINGING tutor

With a 6 years of experience as a X Factor Vocal Coach, Oliver Popa brings the top quality tuition at AB MUSIC ACADEMY by teaching styles such as : musical theatre, pop, rock, pop-rock, R&B.

Specialised in Musical Theatre, he performed lead roles in shows like: "The Phantom of the Opera", "West Side Story", "Evita", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "My Fair Lady", "Broadway Bucharest", "Romeo and Juliet" and Operetta "Silvia".

His portofolio includes tours in countries such as Great Britain, Egypt, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Moldova. 

 


GREGORIO ZILIO

TRUMPET TUTOR

Gregorio started playing trumpet in the local village wind band at the age of 6. Later he graduated at the Music Conservatoire "J. Tomadini" in Udine, Italy.

In 2015 he moved to London to start the BMus Programme at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance; he also studied Jazz Trumpet with the renowned jazz trumpet player Steve Waterman.

As a classical trained trumpet player, he has performed at the most iconic venues in London such as Cadogan Hall and St John Smith Square.

When not practising you can find him DJing, teaching or producing his own music.


Ryhan Lovell

After graduating from The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London in 2014, Ryhan has been a freelance drummer and drum teacher. He is a passionate and  conscientious  teacher, constantly adapting and evolving lesson contents for effective results of the student. Ryhan teaches both grades (Rock School and Trinity) and desired 'fixings' the student wants to improve on.

Playing drums for nearly 20 years, Ryhan has  collaborated with a number of diverse and varying acts. To name a few, artists such as Izzy Thomas, Dana Mckeon (ranking high in world beatboxing championships, collaborating with Bruno Mars and John Newman), Nefara, Bangledeshi jazz/folk artist Shapla Salique and working with grammy award winning producer Matt Lawrence (Amy Winehouse, Adele, The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga).


Vassilis Lazouras

Based in London, Vassilis Lazouras is a professional bass player and music tutor that has dedicated his life’s works to music and performance. After graduating from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London, he has had the opportunity to work with well-known music producers such as Sam Miller (Paloma Faith, Christina Aguilera, One Direction, Razorlight, The Magic Numbers), Steve Lyon (Depeche Mode, The Cure, Paul McCartney, George Best, Laura Pausini), Tom Guy & Jim Macrae (Jordan Rakei) and to share the stage and perform next to great musicians such as the session guitarist Joon Switon (The Roots, Compton, Les Nubians, Ayo, Eric Roberson and more), the L.A. based jazz singer Tricia Tahara (Patrice Rushen, Alphonso Johnson, Lenny White, Nungu Chancler) and guitarist Tolis Zavaliaris (Pete Lockett, Laurence Cottle, Neil Angilley, Vanessa Mae).

Simon is a passionate, reliable and experienced musician who has been playing live and in the studio for more than 30 years, playing both bass and guitar at an expert level in many genres including Jazz, Latin, Rock, World, Blues, soul and classical music too. He has a certain love for world music from the roots of African music to the fire and grace in Flamenco.

He has been actively teaching music for over 10 years and approaches music and learning in a holistic manor.

Described as ‘versatile, full of charisma, characterized by extraordinary care for sound quality’, Bartosz certainly shows the qualities of a rising star. Winner of numerous competitions, he was awarded the Polish Young Musician of the Year in 2009 and represented Poland at the Eurovision for Young Musician Competition in Vienna.

He has performed as a soloist in prestigious concert halls including the Wigmore Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, the Barbican, the Royal Albert Hall, La Salle Cortot and the Witold Lutoslawski Concert Studio of Polish Radio.

Founder of the Deco Ensemble, he has worked with renowned artists from various musical worlds, such as Nigel Kennedy, Trevor Pinnock, Atom String Quartet, Tanita Tikaram, Manchester Collective, Lizzie Ball and Gabriella Swallow. He also plays regularly with international orchestras and companies, including the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Sinfonietta, the Chroma Ensemble, the National Theatre and the Royal Opera House in London.

 

 
 

Mina BeldimĂnescu

 Romanian pianist Mina Beldimanescu is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, where she studied with Diana Ketler and Ian Brown.  In 2015 she obtained her Master of Performance and Master of Arts degrees with Distinction from the Guildhall School of Music &Drama, as a student of Philip Jenkins.

Mina has won prizes in competitions such as: International Piano Competition, Val Tidone, International Piano Competition 'Evangelia Tjiarri', Larnaka - Grand Prix. She is also a laureate of the Lilian Davies, Douglas Cameron and Harold Craxton Prizes in London. In 2010 she was a scholar of the SoNoRo-Interferente chamber music project, which enabled her to perform with Bernhard Naoki Hedenborg as chamber music partner.

She appears regularly as a chamber musician in Massachusetts, Costa Brava and Barcelona. Performances as a piano soloist have also included, throughout the years, recitals and solo performances with orchestras at the Romanian Atheneum and the George Enescu Museum in Bucharest, Middle Temple Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields and St. James's Church Piccadilly in London, the Romanian Cultural Institutes in Budapest, Paris and London.

Together with the Arcana Ensemble, Mina is proud to be a Concordia Foundation Artist.
